Marta Ruiz-Santa Quiteria Saavedra, obtained her Bachelor degree in Chemistry at Universidad Complutense, Madrid (UCM) in June 2011. During 2010-2011 she was involved in a project in the GSOLFA group at the Organic Chemistry Department at UCM. In 2012 she got a Master Diplom in Organic Chemistry offered by the UCM. Since then, she is a member of the research group of nucleosides under the supervision of María José Camarasa and Sonsoles Velázquez, where she is doing her PhD. She participates in the development of new inhibitors of trypanothione reductase of Leishmania infantum.
