Last Friday 14th of July, for the second consecutive time, a Closing Day celebration was held to finalise de Master’s Degree program 2016/2017.
Following the success of the previous edition, this year we repeated the Posters’ exhibition in which our students of Master Thesis, belonging to: Máster Universitario en Química Orgánica (UAM-UCM-USC) and Máster Interuniversitario en Descubrimiento de Fármacos (CEU-UCM-UAH), showed their results in a friendly atmosphere.
The event was also attended by their University Coordinators, who were able to see the work their students have done in our Research Institute.
At last, it is important to highlight the sponsorship of Activate Scientific. Mike Crebbin, the Person Sales Contact of the company, was present during the event and awarded two prizes of €50 for the best two posters during the ceremony. The winners were: Ignacio Romero Muñiz (Máster Universitario en Química Orgánica) with his work Conformational restricted amino acids as inducers of secondary peptide structure, and Irene Gamero Redondo (Máster Interuniversitario en Descubrimiento de Fármacos) with her work Síntesis de nuevos fármacos cannabinoides y exploración de su potencial neuroprotector en la enfermedad de Parkinson.
This initiative is definitely the best way to learn more about the work done in the different research groups as well as to foster dialogue and resolve doubts and other curiosities.
