The Instituto de Química Médica has participated once more in the 4º ESO+Empresa Programme. This is an initiative of la Comunidad de Madrid, whose main purpose is to introduce students into employment, offering work experiences in different companies and research centers, and facilitating the choice of their academic and professional future.
Eight students have been welcomed at our Institute for 3 days (14th, 15th and 16th March) and they have had the opportunity to visit different laboratories where researchers have shown them how to work in a Research Center.
This is certainly a real opportunity for these students who, with great interest in the subject, voluntarily enroll in the programme intended to increase their knowledge and learn how we work. As students have pointed out, this work experience is going to help them choose their professional future, since they now have a broader view of what really makes a chemist in a research laboratory.
