On 8th March, the Centro de Química Orgánica Lora-Tamayo (CENQUIOR) and its Institutes –Instituto de Ciencia y Tecnología de Polímeros (ICTP), Instituto de Química Médica (IQM) and Instituto de Química Orgánica General (IQOG) – organized the ‘Ciencia… en femenino’ conference on the occasion of International Women’s Day.

The event will be held in the Instituto Ramiro de Maeztu music hall in Madrid and will begin at 1.20 pm. It is aimed at students of first and second course of “Bachillerato (16-18 year old students) and three researchers from the Institutes will participate. They will explain to students their experience as women and researchers as well as their impressions about the figure of women in science.

Rosa Aguilar, belonging to the Biomaterials Group (ICTP), Ana Castro, from Allosteric Modulators Group and director of IQM and Ágatha Bastida, belonging to the Bio-Organic Department (IQOG), will participate in the conference.

There will be a Q&A session at the end of the talk where students will have the chance to ask the researchers.
