  Research

Medicinal chemistry is concerned with the development of biologically active molecules and forms the first stage in the search for new pharmaceutical drugs. The research carried out can be grouped in the following research lines and it is based on the development of cannabinoids and PPAR (peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor) modulators.
As a medicinal chemistry group our main goal is to discover and patent novel compounds to treat different metabolic disorders, to help reducing pain and inflammation, and to be used as neuroprotective agents.

  CB1 and CB2 cannabinoid ligands

  Multiple ligands: cannab-PPAR, cannab-opioid

Cannabinoids and PPAR ligands as regulators of neuroinflammation
