Today, 8 March, on the occasion of International Women’s Day, the Centro de Química Orgánica Lora-Tamayo (CENQUIOR) and its Institutes –Instituto de Ciencia y Tecnología de Polímeros (ICTP), Instituto de Química Médica (IQM) and Instituto de Química Orgánica General (IQOG) – have organized a conference called ‘Ciencia… en femenino’ at the Instituto Ramiro de Maeztu de Madrid.
Three researchers from the different Institutes have participated in this speech, aimed at students of first course of “Bachillerato (16-17 year old students). They have explained to students their work as scientists in order to approach them their investigations as well as to stimulate interest in Science and Technology.
María Rosa Aguilar, belonging to the Biomateriales Group (ICTP-CSIC), Julia Revuelta, from Glicoquímica Biológica Group (IQOG-CSIC) and María Isabel Rodríguez, belonging to the Neurofármacos Group (IQM-CSIC), have participated in this event.
There has been a Q&A session at the end of the talk where students were able to ask the researchers all their questions.
